Raema practises in all areas of employment and labour law, with a particular emphasis on human rights issues. She favours a pro-active, forward-looking approach in working with her clients, striving to provide solutions that are efficient, practical, and holistic within the broader contexts of their businesses.
Her passion for human rights predates her legal education. Prior to pursuing her law degree at the University of British Columbia, Raema employed her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Victoria to assist clients in the not-for-profit sector. Her love of travel took her around the globe for several years as she developed a broad range of experience in understanding and working diverse organizations in the public and private sectors, primarily in the areas of organizational management and leadership development.
A self-described “people person,” Raema looks to build long-term meaningful relationship with the clients she advises
Born and raised in Abbotsford, B.C., Raema still counts travelling as her major hobby. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and furthering her interest in environmental issues, describing her off-hour activities as a combination of nurture and nature. With her broad exposure to the world, her diverse educational background, and her commitment to a legal career in the human rights arena, she is fulfilling her goal of “living life as large as I can.”
