Chira is Roper Greyell’s Director of Professional Development. She is responsible for associate learning, development, and mentorship. Working collaboratively with firm leadership, Chira manages our student recruitment process and Summer and Articling programs.
Chira is passionate about helping students and associates to identify and achieve their career goals. She brings experience as a lawyer and a background in student recruitment, adult learning, and legal professional development to her role. Chira practised as a commercial litigator with national firms in Vancouver and New York before moving into higher education program design and leadership positions, including five years as Assistant Dean of Career Services at the Allard School of Law.
Chira holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Saskatchewan, J.D. from the University of Victoria, and Graduate Certificate in Adult Learning & Education from the University of British Columbia. She is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and non-practising member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
Outside of the office, Chira enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, staying active with trail runs and pilates, and trying to cultivate a sustainable closet. She is one kombucha away from becoming a west coast archetype.
