COVID-19 Update – Canada Emergency Response Benefit Extended by Eight Weeks

In his press conference today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (“CERB”) will be extended by eight weeks.
This means the CERB will be extended from 16 weeks to 24 weeks for eligible workers. More information on eligibility for the CERB can be found here: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei/cerb-application.html
