Andrew Nicholl is an Associate with Roper Greyell who has experience working with employers in various industries on a wide range of labour and employment issues and disputes.
Andrew always enjoys working with new clients and also appreciates getting to know a client’s business and becoming a longer-term strategic partner.
Andrew has represented clients in disputes in numerous forums, including: federal and provincial (BC and Ontario) arbitration boards; provincial labour boards (BC and Ontario) and the Canada Industrial Relations Board; various courts, including the BC Supreme Court (wrongful dismissal claims, injunctions and judicial reviews), BC Court of Appeal (judicial review), and Federal Court of Appeal (judicial review). With this experience, Andrew is ready and willing to litigate but never at the expense of finding an alternative path that is more aligned with a client’s business and strategic objectives.
In addition to Andrew’s experience working with clients to navigate the various stages of the employment and/or labour relationship, Andrew also has experience supporting employers facing urgent situations such as unlawful blockades of businesses and illegal strike activity.
Away from work, Andrew is navigating life as a dad and tries to squeeze in as much training as he can to at least finish a few triathlons and running races. Andrew is also a (very) novice mountain biker and a long-suffering fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs (as well as other, also struggling, teams).
