Norika is an associate at Roper Greyell, practicing in all areas of employment and labour law with a focus on WorkSafeBC, including compensation and occupational health and safety, and general labour matters.
In addition to her experience representing clients in civil claims, labour arbitrations and submissions before the B.C. Labour Relations Board, Norika has led many files at the WorkSafeBC Review Division and at the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal on various issues including workplace injury claims, prohibited action complaints, and administrative penalties issued by the WorkSafeBC Prevention department.
A well-rounded speaker, Norika has given presentations to clients on advancements in the law and has presented on general workers compensation legislation requirements and specifically the amendments to the Workers Compensation Act as a result of Bill 41.
Norika is a determined and passionate advocate for her clients. She has an organized and structured approach when working with clients, ensuring they receive practical solutions in an efficient manner.
Norika takes a risk-mitigation approach to workplace management, aiming to prevent concerns before they arise, but is equally comfortable advancing her client’s interests through adjudicative processes.
Away from the office, Norika stays active by running, hiking, and exploring BC’s beautiful landscape. She can also be found with a cup of coffee and a good book.
