Gabrielle received her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1993 and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1994. She has practiced management side employment and labour law since being called to the bar and is a founding partner of Roper Greyell.
Gabrielle advises public and private sector organizations in the municipal, retail, transportation, hospitality and manufacturing sectors. She provides strategic advice regarding the management of workplace legal issues in unionized and non union environments.
Gabrielle also acts as an advocate for clients in grievance arbitrations, court actions and labour board matters. A significant part of Gabrielle’s practice involves providing advice on employment related human rights issues and appearing as counsel before human rights tribunals. She is also frequently retained to conduct workplace investigations and to provide training on a wide range of topics in the field of workplace law.
Gabrielle is known for her proactive, practical and effective approach to workplace issues. Gabrielle was selected by her partners to be part of Roper Greyell’s management team; she is responsible for the firm’s professional talent. Gabrielle has also been recognized by her peers and is listed in Best Lawyers International, Canada.
Gabrielle is a member of the Human Rights, Employment and Labour Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers (CACE) and the BC Human Resources Management Association. She is a frequent presenter on topics in the workplace law field.
Gabrielle enjoys the outdoors and road trips. At home, she enjoys her family, gardening and yoga.
