Jacky Xu is an associate at Roper Greyell practicing in all areas of workplace law with a particular interest in labour and employment, human rights, and working with clients on litigation disputes.

Prior to joining Roper Greyell, Jacky practiced at a regional mid-sized labour, employment, and litigation firm where he gained experience researching labour board and arbitration case law and supporting senior counsel in complex litigation matters.

Career highlights for Jacky include appearing before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and assisting on matters at the Human Rights Tribunal, Labour Relations Board, and Labour Arbitrations.

During his time as a law student at the University of Alberta, Jacky exemplified his commitment to community service by volunteering as a legal advocate with Access Pro Bono and as a member of the Student Legal Service Criminal Project. Furthermore, he served as the Vice- President of Events for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) University of Alberta Chapter, where his innovative event programs fostered increased membership involvement.

Outside the realm of law, Jacky embraces life with equal gusto – whether he’s shredding the slopes in the mountains, perfecting his swing on the golf course, embarking on new travel adventures, or indulging in the occasional wine tasting.
