Katie Comley is an associate at Roper Greyell, where she practises in all areas of workplace law. She is particularly interested and experienced in working with public sector and Indigenous employers.
Prior to joining Roper Greyell, Katie was part of the Labour and Employment group at a national firm, and most recently practised with a boutique workplace law and commercial litigation firm in Vancouver. She embraces the team-oriented approach at Roper Greyell, and looks forward to practising alongside lawyers who are leaders in their field and building long-term partnerships with clients from a breadth of industries.
Katie has deep experience working within the public sector, beginning with her participation in the B.C. Legislative Internship Program (BCLIP) prior to attending law school. Katie then summered and articled with the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General in Victoria and Vancouver, going on to practice law with their Vancouver Group where she focussed on human rights and labour law. Katie continues to be involved with the BCLIP by acting as a mentor to current interns.
Katie has been recognized by Best Lawyers in their Ones to Watch in Canada list for both 2022 and 2023 in the category of Labour and Employment law. Best Lawyers – Ones to Watch in Canada recognizes talented up-and-coming lawyers in Canada, and is based on peer-review.
A drama geek at heart, Katie seeks out live theatre and music when she is not in the office.
