Steven Parker is an associate at Roper Greyell, practicing in all areas of workplace law with a particular interest in labour law, litigation and human rights matters. Steven first joined Roper Greyell as a summer student and completed his articles with the firm.

Career highlights for Steven include preparing for arbitration hearings and drafting submissions for the B.C. Labour Relations Board.

Steven brings over 10 years of experience from the construction industry to his practice, having gained management insight into navigating labour relations concerns on multi-million-dollar commercial design-build projects, while working for his family’s mechanical contracting company. He also started a marketing venture while pursuing his undergraduate degree, working with various companies and government organizations.

During law school, Steven competed in the BC Law Schools Moot competition and received the highest individual oral advocacy score. In addition, Steven attained numerous awards including: the Gregory S. Pun K.C. Prize in Advocacy, the BC Law Schools Moot Course Prize, the First Nations Governance and Economic Development Course Prize, and 2nd place in the Chief Justice John B. Doolin Sovereignty Symposium Writing Competition (Oklahoma City).

When not practicing law, Steven can be found puttering around a golf course, traveling to destinations near and far, and delving into a notable work of non-fiction.
