Alie Teachman is an associate at Roper Greyell practicing in all areas of workplace law. She first joined the firm as a summer student. After completing her articles with Roper Greyell, Alie clerked for five justices at the Supreme Court of British Columbia, where she cultivated an interest in the complexities of civil litigation.
Throughout Alie’s law career, she has become particularly passionate about advocacy. She looks forward to representing her clients’ interests at court, arbitrations, and administrative tribunals.
Alie completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto and received her Juris Doctor with the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia (UBC). While at UBC, she was on the Board of Directors for the UBC Law Review Society, and provided legal advice to small businesses and entrepreneurs in Vancouver as a student clinician at the Business Law Clinic.
In 2021, Alie was awarded both the JSD Tory Prize for Advocacy and the Ed Peck Industrial Relations Prize in Law. She was also the winner of the National Labour Arbitration Competition.
Outside of the office, Alie can often be found jogging on the seawall, exploring new restaurants, or watching birds with her cat, Otis.
