Roper Greyell LLP Names Two New Partners, Maggie Campbell and Mike Hamata

Roper Greyell LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Maggie Campbell and Mike Hamata as new partners of the firm.

Roper Q.C., Chair of Roper Greyell LLP. “Their exceptional knowledge of employment and labour law, and strategic focus on delivering practical solutions for clients will further elevate our capabilities and ensure that our clients are well-served.”

Maggie Campbell represents employers on all aspects of employment relations.  She regularly conducts investigations and advises clients on human rights and employment issues, including terminations, wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, employment contracts and statutory employment obligations. Ms. Campbell has represented clients before the British Columbia courts, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Employment Standards Tribunal.

Mike Hamata practises in all areas of employment and labour law. Working primarily as a litigation lawyer, Mr. Hamata assists federally and provincially regulated employers with discipline and policy grievances, picketing injunctions, strike planning, collective bargaining, wrongful dismissals, human rights, workers compensation, and employment standards complaints. He regularly appears at all levels of court in British Columbia and before administrative tribunals, including the B.C. Labour Relations Board, Canadian Industrial Relations Board and federal and provincial human rights tribunals.

Ms. Campbell and Mr. Hamata joined Roper Greyell LLP in 2017 as associate counsel and associate, respectively.
